Are you interested in a holistic approach to complement your pet’s medical treatment?
Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital now offers acupuncture at our practice. Dr. Jennifer Barber-Jones is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for medical treatment in humans. Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), while newer to the Western world, is a medical ideology that has been used in China to treat animals for years. Acupuncture treatment can be used alone or as an adjunct therapy to traditional Western medicine. Dr. Jones has observed much success in patients dealing with chronic diseases such as arthritis, neuropathies, muscle weakness, Intervertebral Disc Disease, and other animal health conditions. Dr. Jones has a wonderful way with owners and pets. She truly understands that patients new to acupuncture may have some anxiety and uncertainty. She has a very calm demeanor, takes her time, and reassures owners by answering any questions or concerns prior to treatment.
Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital offers treatment plans with different packages, so please call our office to learn more about acupuncture and the benefits for your pet.
